The Farizon SV has earned a five-star Euro NCAP commercial van safety rating and an ANCAP Platinum safety grading at 84 per cent. These are two separate, independent assessments conducted by two of the world's most credible vehicle safety authorities, and together they provide a comprehensive view of the Farizon SV's active safety capability.

The Euro NCAP Safer Trucks and Vans programme (five stars, published May 2025) evaluates commercial vans across Safe Driving, Crash Avoidance, and Post Crash Safety. It is the most comprehensive commercial van safety programme globally and awards one to five stars.

ANCAP's Commercial Van Safety Comparison (Platinum grading, 84%, published December 2025) is Australia and New Zealand's own independent programme, focused on the active collision avoidance systems fitted to commercial vans. It awards Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze gradings.

Both programmes assess active safety technology only, not physical crash protection. They cannot be directly compared to a passenger car star rating. What they tell you, clearly and independently, is how well the Farizon SV's collision avoidance technology is specified and how well it performs.

Five stars overall. Tested model: 200 kW, 66 kWh, H3L2. Applies to model year 2024 onwards.

Platinum grading. Applies to all Australian variants built from January 2025 onwards.

The 60 per cent Safe Driving score needs some unpacking, because the headline number understates some genuinely strong sub-results.

What scored full marks: Seat belt reminders for driver and front passenger both scored perfectly (25 out of 25 for occupant monitoring). The driver monitoring system, which detects fatigue-related driving patterns and issues an alert, also scored full marks (25 out of 25 for driver engagement). Both features are standard.

What brought the score down: The Farizon SV does not include an active speed control function in its Australian specification. The van has a camera-based speed sign reader that displays the posted limit to the driver, but it cannot automatically limit vehicle speed. Euro NCAP awards the higher points in this category for active speed limiting capability, so the SV scored 10 out of 30 for speed assistance, representing only the display function. Adaptive Cruise Control was not assessed (0 out of 15) and steering assistance is not available (0 out of 5).

For Bayside businesses with fleet telematics or existing speed management programmes, the absence of a factory speed limiter may be covered by other means. For operators who specifically need factory-integrated active speed control, this is worth discussing with our team.

This is where the Farizon SV genuinely excels.

Car-to-car AEB (38.20 out of 40): Good performance across all tested speeds and offsets. Full points against slower-moving and braking vehicles ahead. Both Euro NCAP and ANCAP rated car-to-car AEB as good.

Pedestrian and cyclist AEB (22.20 out of 25): Good performance with collisions avoided in most forward scenarios. Both programmes rated this as good.

Lane support (25 out of 25): The lane support system scored maximum points in Euro NCAP's lane departure collision testing, a perfect result. The system gently steers back into lane when drifting, and intervenes more firmly in critical situations. Lane departure warning and blind spot warning are both standard. ANCAP also rated lane support as good.

Backover AEB (0 out of 10): The Farizon SV does not have low-speed backover AEB. This scored zero in Euro NCAP and was noted as not available by ANCAP. For operators regularly reversing in the tight loading areas, car parks, and delivery zones common around the Bayside and Brisbane CBD, this is a practical gap to be aware of.

Rescue information (80 out of 90): A strong result covering the rescue sheet and guide available for first responders. This is important for emergency services working with an unfamiliar electric vehicle.

Advanced eCall (0 out of 5): Not available on the Farizon SV. eCall automatically contacts emergency services following a serious crash. Its absence is noted.
